I'm retired! What's next!

Saturday, October 31, 2026

So here I am, retired, living in CP and OAS.  But all is just fine so here's my early days in retirement.

Went to Costco with Alan. He's a good shopper. I'm not but we spent $73 on two large sirloin roasts and got 26 steaks out of them. Not bad. Yes, my hand hurt cutting it up but wow, not a bad decision.

He's decided we need to cook together.  Alan sings and dances in the kitchen.  I don't. This could be an issue.  Working on it.

Bought some squash and beets at the market. Roasting and freezing them. My version of prepping for winter.

People keep asking how I am. The last week of the election I told people I would be thrilled to lose, okay if won. Stunned at just how exhausted I was after the election.  I think I normalized the chaos.

No more. So glad to be done with it.

Anyhow, I think I will post occasionally about life after the council term from hell. Life is so much brighter now.

I've moved

Thursday, February 3, 2011

Morning all. Blogger's been good but I've moved over to tumblr.com because its interface is just way too easy for this aging non-techie to use. And I'm finding I'm blogging more on it, rather than just posting links to my column, because it's so darn easy. So, if you are still interested in my many musings, you'll find me at kamloopsstreetlevel.tumblr.com.
